Allianz Specialty Names Christie to Head Global Broker Partnerships

Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has named Rani Christie as head of global partnerships, effective Jan. 1, 2016.

In this position, Christie will be responsible for global broker partnerships and general oversight of major accounts in the North American region. Allianz has a network in more than 160 countries and a local presence in 28 countries, requiring a focus on the needs of global corporate and specialty clients, according to the announcement.

Christie has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of industries. Most recently, he was managing director of Euler Hermes California, where he was responsible for operational and financial oversight of this newly-formed business unit. Since joining Euler Hermes in 2005, he served as regional vice president for the Southern region, regional head of distribution, and U.S. national sales director. Prior to his work at Euler Hermes, Christie held senior sales positions at software companies DigiScript Inc. and MediTract Inc.

Based in Atlanta, Christie will report to Joseph Strickland, head of market management, and replaces John Pontin who was recently named Midwest zone leader.
