Smooth Waters Forms Agreement with National Cargo Bureau

Smooth Waters, LLC, a subsidiary of RSG Underwriting Managers, LLC (RSGUM), has entered into an engineering service agreement with the National Cargo Bureau, Inc. (NCB) to offer marine loss prevention and claims services for clients of the RSGUM marine practice group, including SafeWaters and Trident Marine Managers.

NCB has provided cargo surveying, engineering and loss control since its inception in 1952, and the is relied upon and referenced in many regulations and codes governing cargo. NCB handles any -related situation, from the extremely hazardous to challenging heavy lift and all of the cargos in between.

RSGUM’s marine practice group underwrites marine and energy risks on a global basis with offices in the US, Latin America, and the United Kingdom. Smooth Waters provides claims and loss control services to support the marine practice group.

According to Jorge Pecci, head of RSGUM’s Marine Practice and president and CEO of SafeWaters, this agreement, coupled with SafeWaters’ project cargo underwriting staff, enables SafeWaters to offer value-added services for infrastructure projects, particularly in the U.S. and Latin America.”

Smooth Waters, LLC is the marine claim adjusting affiliate of SafeWaters, a series of RSG Underwriting Managers, LLC (RSGUM), and Trident Marine Managers, Inc., a subsidiary of RSGUM. Smooth Waters provides claims services exclusively for RSGUM affiliates.

RSG Underwriting Managers, LLC (RSGUM) is the managing general underwriting division of Ryan Specialty Group and consists of a series of specialty property and casualty managing general underwriters (MGU).
