Insurance broker Willis Towers Watson has appointed Mary Botkin, as health care industry lead in its Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) segment.
Botkin will be responsible for delivering the company’s integrated risk management strategy to its health care portfolio, including hospitals, integrated delivery systems, physicians groups, long-term care facilities and managed care companies. She will work to provide clients with access to the company’s risk analytics, clinical risk management consulting and claim management.
Botkin joined Willis Towers Watson in 2007, where she has held a variety of leadership positions, and has over 38 years of experience in the health care risk management field.
She is based in Houston and reports to Rick Hawkinberry, chief operating officer, CRB, North America.
“In today’s complex health care landscape, providers are struggling with a range of organizational and financial risks, including reimbursement for continuum of care, privacy risk and industry consolidation, which is creeping across pharma and other nontraditional health care sectors. Given this volatility, clients value specialized industry expertise and innovative risk management partners to help them navigate this environment and position them for long-term success,” said Botkin.
