Ironshore Environmental Adds Storage Tank Pollution Liability Coverage to Online Portal

February 7, 2019

Ironshore Environmental has made its stand-alone Storage Tank Policy accessible to brokers through an online quote & bind portal.

The coverage addresses first- and third-party liability in response to releases from underground and aboveground storage tanks with available limits from $500,000 to $50 million and satisfies financial assurance requirements federally and in all 50 states. The policy carries no minimum premium with deductible options starting at zero dollars for eligible tanks.

A wide array of commercial storage tank specifications, such as varying age and construction, may be covered at locations including airports, hospitals, fuel terminals, schools, gas stations, convenience stores, and auto dealerships, among others. Coverage responds to first-party discovery during the policy period or applicable extended reporting period.

Third-party bodily injury and property damage coverages are enhanced to protect against such risks as National Resource Damages and Medical Monitoring.

Ironshore Environmental’s online Storage Tank Portal provides brokers the ability to quote and bind coverage providing policy and financial assurance certificates in an accessible platform. For many risks, coverage can be placed in 10 minutes. Brokers also have the option of incorporating multiple tank locations and tank details with a spreadsheet upload.

Ironshore Environmental offers a suite of insurance products and services to protect against the adverse financial impact of environmental incidents and liabilities for a range of commercial industry risks.

Ironshore, a Liberty Mutual Co., provides broker-sourced specialty property and casualty insurance coverages for varying risks located throughout the world.
