James Patterson and Ryan Mimmo have been appointed vice presidents of Cyber & Technology for Brit Global Specialty USA. They are based in San Francisco and New York, respectively, and are responsible for underwriting and supporting the growth of BGSU’s Cyber & Technology offering.
They report to Jeff Norton, senior vice president, Cyber and Technology.
Patterson joins BGSU from AIG where he worked as a cyber specialist. In this position, he educated clients and insurance brokers on cyber exposures and loss prevention methods. Prior to this, he was a senior underwriter at AIG specializing in cyber and technology coverage.
Mimmo comes to BGSU from cyber specialist NAS Insurance (acquired by Tokio Marine in April), which last July named him assistant vice president, Technology E&O and Cyber Liability. He previously held claims and underwriting roles across cyber, technology and professional liability at Zurich North America (2015-2018), Marsh & McLennan Companies (2014-2015) and ACE (2011-2014).
BGSU’s Cyber & Technology offering was launched in 2017.
