Global broker Willis Towers Watson has appointed Adam Garrard as leader for the Corporate Risk & Broking segment, effective immediately. Garrard replaces Todd Jones, who has accepted a position as CEO North America for QBE Insurance Group.
Garrard, current WTW head of International and member of the company’s Operating Committee, has also this year led the creation of the Global Lines of Business structure in CRB. Garrard will continue to serve as acting head of International for now.
Willis Towers Watson began operating in January, 2016 following the merger of Willis Group Holdings and Towers Watson. Garrard spent more than 20 years at Willis Group in a variety of senior roles worldwide. Between 2012 and 2015, he served as the regional CEO of Willis Asia, based in Singapore, leading Willis’ strategy in high-growth markets in the region. Prior to this, he held regional CEO roles in Continental Europe and Australasia. During his time in Asia, he also spent 18 months in Shanghai setting up Willis’ China operation.
Willis Towers Watson CEO John Hale expressed “sincere appreciation” to the departing Jones for his leadership.
