Pioneer Programs Launches Targeted Violence Program

Pioneer Programs Insurance Solutions, LLC, has partnered with U.S.-based security leader 1st Watch Global and London-based EC3 Brokers to launch a new targeted violence program that combines comprehensive insurance coverage with risk management assessment.

Backed by Lloyd’s capacity, the program is offered exclusively by Pioneer Programs through wholesale brokers in the U.S. The coverage form includes third party bodily injury and first-person physical damage with limits up to $10 million. Coverage is underwritten and priced based on an inspection by 1st Watch Global.

According to Michael Kwan, president of Pioneer Programs, the program is designed to supplement liability coverage that currently exists by adding protection for unexpected and severe exposures not previously contemplated.

“Our global security experts, who include former FBI Special Agents, veteran law enforcement officers and private industry executives with both national and global experience, will implement the same processes and procedures used by the federal government and Department of Homeland Security,” said Raymond Holcomb, managing director of 1st Watch Global.

Comprehensive additional coverages include first-person bodily injury, property damage, business interruption, counseling services, funeral expenses, brand rehabilitation, emergency accommodations, forensic clean-up and more.

Covered exposures include terrorism, active assailants, events caused by cars or bombs and other targeted violence at schools, healthcare facilities, entertainment venues, houses of worship, the hospitality industry, malls, shopping centers and other organizations and businesses.

Operational assessments by 1st Watch Global will determine the preventative changes necessary to maximize security and ensure eligibility for the insurance policy. Assessments are available independent of insurance coverage through 1st Watch Global’s network of worldwide contractors.
