Insurance Journal, Carrier Management Win Editorial Awards of Excellence

Wells Media Group publications, websites, webinars, research and podcasts have won a total of nine 2021 Azbee Awards of Excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).

“The team is proud to be recognized by our publishing peers,” said Andrew Simpson, chief content officer for Wells Media. “It feels especially good to be acknowledged this year for the team’s work and in so many content formats — print, online, research, and podcasts”

Insurance Journal won a regional gold award for single topic team coverage for its coronavirus crisis coverage. Winners are: Elizabeth Blosfield, East editor; Pam Simpson, senior strategist, Research & Trends; L.S. Howard, International editor; and Andrew Simpson, National editor, Insurance Journal. Insurance Journal also earned regional bronze awards for the following:

Carrier Management won three editorial awards, including a silver award in the category of editor’s letter for the letters in three editions of Carrier Management Magazine by Executive Editor Susanne Sclafane:

In the category of print, single topic coverage by a team, Carrier Management won a bronze award for Talent Magnets: Carriers That Employees Love to Work For. The team includes: Susanne Sclafane, executive editor; Kim Tallon, assistant editor; Andrew Simpson, chief content officer; and Guy Boccia, vice president of Design.

Also Carrier Management earned a bronze award in the category of technical article for The Story of Cover Genius. Winners are Susanne Sclafane, executive editor, and Kim Tallon, associate editor.
