People Moves: Faylo New U.S. Cyber & Tech Leader at Lockton; Big ‘I’ Names Boggs VP of Agent Development; MGA Falcon Hires 3 Senior Leaders

Lockton appointed Michelle Faylo as its U.S. Cyber & Technology Leader. Faylo will lead Lockton’s team of skilled cyber specialists, delivering innovative and effective solutions to global businesses that face increasingly complex cyber risks.

A 20-year veteran of the insurance industry, Faylo joins Lockton from AIG, where she most recently was North America Head of Cyber & Professional Liability. In this role, she managed a team of more than 60 specialists focused on the evolving cyber and professional liability marketplace. During her time at AIG, she managed relationships with clients of all sizes and across multiple industries, developing customized solutions to critical cyber risks. She also managed AIG’s relationships with leading cybersecurity and technology risk vendors. Before joining AIG in 2006, she worked as a client advocate at Willis.

Big ‘I’ Names Chris Boggs New Vice President of Agent Development, Research and Education

The Big “I” promoted Chris Boggs to vice president of agent development, research and education. Boggs succeeds Madelyn Flannagan, who will retire after 26 years of excellent service to the independent agency channel. Boggs will start April 1.

Boggs joined the Big “I” team in November 2016. In his new role, Boggs will manage and lead the Big “I” agent development department, including the Virtual University, Agents Council for Technology (ACT), Invest, the Diversity Council, Young Agents, Best Practices and errors & omissions risk management. Boggs is a regular speaker at industry events, including the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA), the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA), the Institute of WorkComp Professionals (IWCP) and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society. During his more than three-decade insurance career, Boggs has authored 15 insurance and risk management books and more than 2,000 articles.

MGA Falcon bolsters team with senior leadership hires

Falcon Risk Holdings said it appointed David Lynders as Head of Management Liability, John Merchant as Head of Cyber & Technology E&O, and Martin Schnabel as Head of Claims.

Falcon Risk, an MGA, started underwriting risk in January 2022 and provides a full suite of financial, professional, and cyber insurance products and services. Lynders joins from AIG, where he held a number of senior roles, including Head of Financial Institutions, Financial Lines North America. Merchant joins Falcon from Optio Insurance Services where he was Managing Director – Cyber & Technology Practice, North America. Schnabel was at Nationwide E/S Specialty for the last 12 years, where he most recently served as Chief Claims Officer.

CEO Craig Landi said the new leadership team “serve as part of our strategy to put together a best-in-class team to provide a new alternative for financial, professional, and cyber risks together with our partners, HDI Global Specialty and Griffin Highline.”
