QBE Appoints New Marine VPs
QBE International Markets is increasing its presence in the US marine insurance space and has appointed Sean Dollahon, vice president, US marine manager, and Katie McCord, vice president, senior marine underwriter, to its team.
With nearly 20 years of industry experience, most recently as Inland Marine Manager at AIG and prior to that as vice president, South Region Ocean Marine at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Dollahon brings a wealth of expertise on the intricacies and challenges of the market.
McCord brings more than 15 years of industry experience in both the US and London marine markets to her new role at QBE. Prior to joining, she served as national marine practice leader, at IMA Financial, and underwriting officer, marine, at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
QBE has offices in Miami, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas.
Hirschorn joins Lockton as U.S. Cyber & Technology Claims Leader
Lockton, the world’s largest independent insurance broker, announced Deborah Hirschorn has joined as managing director, U.S. cyber & technology claims leader. In her new role, she will lead the overall strategic vision for Lockton’s cyber claims practice. Hirschorn is based in New York, New York.
Hirschorn joins Lockton from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. She has extensive experience in cyber, technology errors and omissions and miscellaneous professional liability claims. Hirschorn has handled numerous complex claims, including ransomware incidents, third-party privacy class actions and business interruption matters. Before BHSI, Hirschorn was at AIG; before that, she practiced insurance coverage law.
