QBE Names Davis to Newly Created Position: Global Head of Cyber

QBE Insurance Group Limited has appointed Serene Davis to newly the created position global head of cyber. Davis will begin working in the role on May 15.

Davis will be responsible for working with QBE’s divisional cyber underwriting leaders to develop and drive a unified cyber strategy for risk assessment, pricing, claims, product and service offerings, and marketing across the entire enterprise.

Davis is based in Southern California and has more than 20 years of industry expertise. She is joining QBE from Beazley, where she spent 17 years, most recently served as regional manager of the west and head of the Los Angeles, California, office. Before Beazley, Davis worked at AIG and Federated Insurance.

Markel Hires Dhillon to Lead Cat, Exposure Management

Markel Corp. said that Amandeep Dhillon has joined as managing director, global head of catastrophe and exposure management.

Dhillon will lead Markel’s approach to catastrophe and exposure management across the company’s global insurance and reinsurance platform and across all lines of coverage, including property and marine, casualty, cyber, and professional liability.

Dhillon has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance business, working in multiple areas including catastrophe risk management and ceded reinsurance.

Dhillon will be based in Markel’s Glen Allen, Virginia office.
