Liberty Mutual Names Johnson President of Field Operations & Marketing, Global Risk Solutions North America

Liberty Mutual Insurance, based in Boston, Mass., appointed Ben Johnson as president of field operations & marketing, Global Risk Solutions (GRS) North America, effective July 3.

Johnson will lead a national team of field executives and the marketing and distribution strategy teams. Johnson comes from recent roles with Ironshore, Liberty Mutual’s wholesale-focused specialty and excess surplus brand. He joined Ironshore in 2009 and most recently led U.S. field operations.

Fusion Specialty Announces Newly Created CEO Roles

Fusion Specialty, the global boutique M&A and specialty insurance services group, announced it promoted Michael Federer to the role of CEO, Fusion Specialty North America.

Katherine Simmonds was named CEO, Fusion Specialty, International.

Federer was previously managing partner, sales & distribution, M&A. He has more than 18 years of combined experience as a corporate attorney focused on M&A deals, and as an M&A insurance underwriter. In his new role, Mike will continue to drive Fusion’s buildout in North America of its M&A insurance products suite.

Everest Re Hires Good as CISO

Everest Re Group appointed FBI cyber veteran Don Good as chief information security officer, effective immediately.

Good will lead all aspects of Everest’s information security, overseeing the programs, policies, and operations to safeguard the company’s data, systems, and digital assets. He has more than three decades of cybersecurity, fraud prevention and risk management experience across complex global technology environments. This includes 21 years at the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he was most recently Deputy Assistant Director of its Cyber Division.
