Brenda (Ballard) Austenfeld was elected to serve as 2024-2025 Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) president
Austenfeld, CEO and president of RT Specialty’s national property practice, was chosen by membership at the organization’s annual business meeting earlier this month. She joined the legacy NAPSLO Board of Directors in 2016 and the WSIA Board of Directors in 2017.
Others elected for one-year terms as officers are:
- Vice President: Phillip McCrorie, RSUI
- Secretary: Patrick Albrecht, Associated Insurance Administrators, Inc.
- Treasurer: Wendy Houser, Markel Specialty
- Immediate Past President: Dave Obenauer, CRC Group
Members elected to three-year terms as director included:
- Cristi Carrington, Brown & Riding
- Henry Lopez, Navigators
- Jeff McNatt, Amwins
- Veronica Davis, Atlantic Casualty
- Phillip McCrorie, RSUI
- Patrick Row, Arlington/Roe
Steve Boyd of Bridge Specialty and Annie Dawson of RT Specialty were appointed as new directors. Boyd is the president of Bridge Specialty Group. Dawson was immediate past president of WSIA’s U40 Board and has been appointed to the WSIA Board of Directors as the U40 representative. She is director on the RT Specialty – National Binding Authorities Leadership Team.
