People Moves: Aon’s Mann, Trombino and Younger Join WTW Financial Institutions Team; Former Fortitude CEO Bracken Hired as Zurich NA CFO

WTW appointed three former Aon executives to roles within its financial institutions and professional services industry division, a part of Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) North America.

Heather Mann

Heather Mann, based in Miami, joins WTW from Aon, where she spent the previous 23 years, most recently serving as an executive vice president. Mann’s expertise is focused on developing creative risk finance and insurance solutions for broker-dealers and life insurance agents.

Larry Trombino

Larry Trombino, an attorney by training, is based in New York City. He spent the last 16 years at Aon, most recently serving as a senior vice president in the financial institutions space. He was a team leader and primary claim advocate for company-sponsored insurance agents and specialized broker-dealer errors & omissions (E&O) programs.

Jeanette Younger

Jeanette Younger, based in San Francisco, also joins WTW from Aon, where she spent the previous eight years. She most recently serving as a vice president, focused on developing E&O insurance programs for large financial institutions and their insurance agents, registered representatives and investment advisors.

Mike Chang, head of CRB North America, said the new additions will “position CRB NA as the go-to resource for specialized risk transfer solutions for financial institutions throughout the market.”

Bracken Hired as Zurich NA CFO

James Bracken

Zurich North America appointed James Bracken as chief financial officer, succeeding Peter Hirs, who returns to Zurich Insurance Group as group head of mergers & acquisitions.

Bracken and Hirs start their new roles July 1.

Bracken was previously chief executive officer at Fortitude Re and CFO at AIG General Insurance. Prior to AIG, he worked in global finance and audit at GE Insurance, GE Capital and Arthur Andersen & Co.

As Zurich North America CFO, Bracken will oversee actuarial, financial accounting and reporting (FAR), corporate tax, treasury, planning and performance management, and finance operations. He will report to Zurich NA CEO Kristof Terryn and be a member of the Zurich North America Executive Committee, the Zurich Group Leadership Team, the Zurich North America Leadership Team and the Zurich Group Finance Executive Team. He will be based at Zurich North America’s headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill.
