CRC Group, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, named Brent Tredway as sole president of the brokerage division and Chris Carlson as chief operating officer of CRC’s Commercial Solutions Division.
Since 2020, Tredway has led the brokerage division’s efforts in carrier engagement, new and emerging markets, and sales management. He will continue to lead the division’s organic growth strategy and execution.
Carlson joined CRC Group in 2021 and will focus on implementing growth strategies, including team structuring, producer recruiting, and operational management across commercial solutions.
Brennan Paris, CRC’s current binding division chief operating officer, is stepping into the role of president of the binding division. Paris will lead the daily operations for all Property & Casualty binding. He joined CRC Group in 2019 as senior vice president and director of carrier distribution.
Smith Is Americas CEO at Mosaic
Toby Smith will join Mosaic Insurance as Americas CEO, effective July 23.
Based in New York, Smith will become a member of the specialty insurer’s leadership team and be responsible for market engagement and profitable growth across the US, Canada, and the wider Americas region.
Smith has more than 20 years of experience in the specialty insurance industry, most recently as chief underwriting officer, North America specialty lines, for Liberty Mutual. He previously worked with Mosaic’s leadership at Ironshore Inc from 2009, launching its environmental business, and holding various roles, including president of environmental and president of E&S casualty. He began his career at AIG.
Curtis Promoted to Global Ed Specialty Leader at HUB
Chicago’s Hub International Limited appointed Courtney Davis Curtis as executive vice president and global education specialty practice leader. Davis Curtis leads HUB’s Education Specialty Practice and its strategic initiative within the education sector.
Davis Curtis joins HUB from the University of Chicago, where she most recently served as assistant vice president of risk management and resilience planning.
