Texas Mutual Insurance Co. announced it will update its website beginning December 27, 2002. The site will retain its current Web address at texasmutual.com; however, it will present a new look and improved navigation features.
Texas Mutual said it surveyed agents and policyholders to help determine their changing needs for Internet-based services. The new site design allows agents and policyholders to access the company’s most popular online features directly from the homepage. The new design also provides more information and services for injured workers and the health care providers who treat them.
Since launching its website in 1996, the company has introduced a host of online tools to improve customer service. Policyholders can report injuries online, create custom loss run reports, analyze loss data, and order workplace safety videos, brochures and posters from the company’s safety resource library. Insurance agents can use the Texas Mutual Internet Quoting (IQ) system to get quotes for businesses with premiums up to $25,000.
The site also offers online access to registered agents’ expiration lists, cancellation lists, claim information, and agency and policy-level summaries.
Earlier this year, the site won first place in an international competition hosted by the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF). With the new design, Texas Mutual Insurance Co. demonstrates that it won’t rest on its laurels.
