American Underwriting Managers announced that Roger L. Herron has joined the company in its Southlake, Texas office as director of Underwriting.
Ken Boyd, president of AUM, pointed out that Herron’s addition has been well received by both their agency producer base and their companies. Herron’s reputation and familiarity with companies and the Texas market will greatly benefit AUM’s objectives of expanding their property, casualty, professional and environmental books of business and in continuing to offer the best service.
Herron has over 15 years of insurance experience in both the standard and surplus lines markets. Most recently, he was with the Texas office of one of the largest independent wholesalers in the U. S. Prior to that, he was in charge of Underwriting for the Dallas office of AXA Nordstern Art Insurance Corporation.
AUM holds multiple underwriting pens for “A” and “A+” A.M. Best’s rated property and casualty companies as well as numerous brokerage contracts with U.S. and Lloyd’s facilities. In addition to Southlake, the company also has offices in San Antonio.
