Society of CIC Names New Board Members

The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), based in Austin, Texas, announced that six new members were selected to serve on its Board of Governors. The Society of CIC relies on the 18-member Board for determining policy and guiding the future of this not-for-profit organization.

Founded in 1969, the Society of CIC provides advanced insurance education.

These nationally recognized industry leaders are now beginning their six-year terms on the CIC Board: Kevin J. Brady, is vice president of Gallagher Captive Services Inc., a division of Arthur J. Gallagher Inc., in Itasca, Ill. He specializes in the development, implementation, and marketing of captive and alternative funding mechanisms. Brady teaches casualty-related topics at Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) institutes, Ruble Seminars, and Certified Risk Managers (CRM) Finance of Risk courses.

R. Cleve Folger, Jr., is the owner of TriSure Corporation in Cary, North Carolina, the largest privately held agency in the Research Triangle Area of North Carolina. At Cleve Folger Consulting, he advises major insurance companies and agencies of varying sizes on day-to-day management issues. Folger teaches CIC Agency Management Institutes and Managing People Ruble Seminars. He has co-authored two books and written many articles for insurance publications.

Ralph Hamm, Jr. is CEO/partner of Texas AGA Inc., and president of CIA direct in Dallas, Texas. He serves as a primary associate for CIAdirect, a new entity that specializes in forming and managing insurance agencies for large insurance buyers. Hamm has been a CIC for 25 years, and was one of the early CIC faculty members. He assisted in the creation and development of the Oil & Gas Ruble Seminar.

Tad Krug, chairman and CEO of Ramsey, Krug, Farrell and Lensing (RKF&L) in Little Rock, Ark., has been in the insurance business for 36 years. RKF&L is considered Arkansas’ leading medical professional liability protection team, and specializes in construction and surety bonds and risk management, as well as healthcare. Krug is a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Central Arkansas and was on the executive council that developed the three-week new producer training program, The National Alliance School for Producer Development.

E. Larry Lujan, is president and CEO of Manuel Lujan Insurance Inc., and Lujan Enterprises Inc. Manuel Lujan Insurance is the largest independent insurance agency in New Mexico, with offices in Albuquerque, Belen, Taos, and Santa Fe. Lujan is a five-time member of the Million Dollar Round Table, a board member of Intersure, and past president of Crum & Forster Insurance captive company, Columbine Insurance Company Ltd.

Steven A. Reichman is principal and executive vice president with The NIA Group LLC, in Paramus, N.J., where he is in property and casualty insurance production. Reichman was the first chairman of the Glenmont National Alliance Committee. He is a past president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey, and is a frequent convention speaker, panelist, and moderator.

Hold, Ph.D., president of the Society of CIC. “This is a great opportunity for the Society of CIC to draw on their wisdom and insight to ensure that our programs continue to lead the industry.
