Rollings Named Industry Advocate for AMS Users Group

April 17, 2003

Dallas-based AMS Users Group appointed Linda Rollings as the Group’s first industry advocate. According to the Group, this position will give the organization one consistent voice and face in the industry, working to impact automation-related issues that benefit AMS Users Group members.

Rollings, who lives in Arcola, Ill., has 20 years of automation experience both within Dimond Brothers Insurance and as a strong voice in the Users Group. This experience, and her intimate knowledge of the technology today’s independent agents need to succeed, uniquely position her to advocate members’ needs to carriers, vendors and agents alike.

“Technology brings tremendous opportunities to independent agents,” Rollings remarked. “By adopting universal standards, promoting cooperation between our software vendors and carriers, and bringing key workflow efficiency issues to the forefront and keep them top of mind, we can affect positive change for our agents.”

Rollings was actively involved in the formation of The AMS Users Group, when some of the first agents to use the AMS system met in Atlanta to discuss what they needed from their vendor. The result was the birth of The AMS Users Group. Since that time, she has served on nearly every board position, committee and was the Group’s first female president.

She will be representing The AMS Users Group at industry events, to carriers, to vendors and to other agents. Rollings will also continue to build on the strong working relationship between AMS and the Users Group.
