Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher has reinstated the license of a Tulsa insurance agent accused of improper marketing after agreeing to changes in his promotional materials.
Fisher earlier suspended the license of Gary Kroll after it was found he had marketed credit life insurance in a way that made some people think he represented lending firms, not insurance companies. In addition, Kroll failed to respond to representatives of the Oklahoma Insurance Department when they attempted to contact him on the matter.
“We are glad to have been able to work with Gary to clear this matter so he can get back to the business of selling insurance for the consumers of Oklahoma,” Fisher said. “Best of all, I am confident the consumers will be better served by Gary.”
Under the order reinstating his license, Kroll agreed to submit marketing materials to the Oklahoma Insurance Department and pay a $10,000 fine.
