Chubb Exec. to Open Oil & Gas Conference

The Strategic Research Institute announced that its Insurance & Risk Management in the Oil & Gas Industry conference, to be held Oct. 27, 2003 at the Crowne Plaza Houston in Houston, Texas, will feature an inside look at how insurers evaluate potential insureds in the oil and gas sector.

Gene Goodridge, vice president of the Chubb Group of Ins. Cos., will kick off the summit with a presentation called “Getting the Most for Your Insurance Dollar” which will describe specific steps to take to make oil & gas concerns desirable to Insurers. Goodridge will also discuss how to balance coverage and costs and other general liability issues.

Other speakers will address questions such as: How secure is your project? How can you guarantee your project obtains the necessary coverage? What happens when difficulties arise during the claims process? How can your company manage project problems before they occur?

The conference will be chaired by W. A. (Tony) Mayer, managing director, Marsh Marine & Energy and feature a host of industry leaders such as Jerry McAloon, senior vice president, Aon Natural Resources; Andrew Steptowe, senior vice president Marsh USA Inc., and many more.
