Acordia RE Opens Dallas Office, McGarry Named Senior VP

Acordia RE announced today that Robert F. McGarry has joined the organization as Senior Vice President. Mr. McGarry is responsible for reinsurance production and management of the Dallas, Texas office of Acordia RE.

Most recently, Mr. McGarry was with JLT Re Solutions, where he was the manager and head of production, for the Dallas, Texas office.

Mr. McGarry has almost 40 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. During the course of his career as an insurer, reinsurer and intermediary, Mr. McGarry has held a broad range of positions and responsibilities within claims, client services, marketing, program placement and new business production. He began his career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. After ten years with Liberty he moved into the reinsurance business with American Reinsurance Company. Mr. McGarry has worked on the reinsurance intermediary side with HS Fox which was later acquired by Guy Carpenter and later he was with Benfield Greig.

Mr. McGarry received his bachelor of arts in economics from Columbia University, following service in the United States Marine Corps.
