CAA Adds 33rd Member-Wellmann Insurance Agency

Austin, Texas- based Combined Agents of America LLC reported the addition of its 33rd member, Wellmann Insurance Agency Inc., based in Brenham.

“As we continue to grow CAA with professional agency relationships such as Wellman Insurance Agency, we strengthen our distribution channels with insurance company partners,” said Jim Whorton, CAA chairman and president of Whorton Insurance Services, Austin. “Combining our members’ premiums across the state brings larger volume commitments to insurance companies, while enabling our members to improve their bottom line and realize greater benefits from insurance companies, vendor discounts, profit sharing and other incentives.”

Wellmann Insurance Agency was formed in January 2000 by the merger of Lange & Associates Insurance Agency and Ehlert Insurance Agency. Both agencies were well established and operated back to the 1930s. Today Wellmann is a full service independent insurance agency providing both commercial and personal insurance. Its largest carriers include Central Insurance and Travelers Insurance. The company maintains a branch office in College Station.
