Great Central Insurance Company, a member of San Antonio-based Argonaut Group Inc.’s Specialty Commercial segment, announced it has formed a strategic partnership with the North Carolina Restaurant Association to provide property and casualty insurance to its members.

Founded in 1947, the NCRA is one of the oldest restaurant associations in the country, representing approximately 2,500 member restaurants and suppliers.

“The NCRA is excited by the opportunity to partner with a company that has dedicated itself to working with the restaurant industry for so many years,” said NCRA President and Chief Executive Officer Paul M. Stone. “NCRA members will benefit from the experience, broad coverage, and competitive products offered by Great Central.”

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Great Central,” said John Polak, president of Great Central Insurance. “The NCRA is an exceptional trade organization with a long history of commitment and service to its members. This partnership will combine Great Central’s unique products and services with a solid portfolio of other member services currently provided by the NCRA, enhancing both organizations.”

As an endorsed provider, Great Central will offer its specialized restaurant package, commercial auto, and umbrella coverage to NCRA members. The products will be distributed through a select network of agents statewide.

Serving restaurateurs since 1934, Great Central is recognized as the leader in providing insurance and risk management services to the restaurant and hotel/motel industry. In addition to the NCRA endorsement, Great Central is the endorsed carrier for a number of state restaurant associations as well as other trade associations.
