Quadrant Insurance Managers, an Ohio-based MGA, announced it has opened an office in Houston, Texas — Quadrant Insurance Services LLC — to accommodate its expanding southwestern customer base. The Texas expansion follows the January 2004 management buyout of the Quadrant Operations.
Quadrant also announced two new contractor programs that will be based out of the Texas office: Residential Home Builders/Contractors GL and Roofing Contractors GL.
Quadrant Insurance Services will operate as a surplus lines firm for Texas and surrounding states. Heading up the new location, is William Baycroft. Baycroft has worked in commercial property, casualty, and employee benefits since 1969 and is a recognized insurance professional in Texas. He has earned numerous honors and serves as a member of several organizations.
“The addition of Bill Baycroft to the Quadrant team is great news,” said Mark Harris, president and CEO of Quadrant Insurance Managers. “Bill is a pro, and we are delighted he has decided to work with us. With his contacts and guidance, this office will grow quickly.”
The Home Builders Liability and Roofing Contractors Liability Programs are available in Texas on a surplus lines basis. According to Harris, these programs cater to the states where the recent “construction defect laws” have taken root. “Contractors are in a bind and our programs give them a viable way to protect themselves.”
Quadrant is hoping the combination of an expertly led Texas location featuring its two timely GL Contractor programs along with the complete slate of Quadrant programs will be the perfect formula for success.
