McQueary Henry Bowles Troy Partner Receives Excellence Awards

March 22, 2006

Privately owned insurance and risk management firm McQueary Henry Bowles Troy L.L.P., based in Dallas, announced that Patrick Arthur, partner, recently received two prestigious awards: MHBT 2005 Producer of the Year for his contribution to the company’s growth and cultural foundation, and Central Insurance Companies’ first Andre Award for his industry leadership, caring for customers and fostering of a strong business partnership between MHBT and Central Insurance Companies.

The Andre Award, formerly known for the past six years as the Gameball Award, is given in honor of insurance industry icon Andre Juneau, who was diagnosed with cancer and passed away on Feb. 14, 2006.

“These honors demonstrate Pat’s outstanding work ethic and guiding presence in MHBT’s service-oriented business community,” said Bill Henry, chairman and CEO of MHBT. “His exceptional job performance at MHBT not only inspires his colleagues to embody the company’s commitment to integrity and leadership, but it has also made a strong impression on our industry peers, as acknowledged by the distinguished award he received from Central Insurance Companies. We applaud Pat for both of these achievements.”

“Central Insurance Companies is pleased to recognize Pat Arthur’s commitment to excellence and leadership within the industry,” said Chuck Wassberg, southwest regional vice president for Central Insurance Companies. “In looking at the possible candidates for this honor, I felt that Pat most exemplified the characteristics of the award and the embodiment of what Andre Juneau represented to all that knew him.”

Central Insurance Companies bestows the Andre Award on an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the insurance industry. The recipient is hand-picked by Wassberg for capturing the spirit of sportsmanlike conduct in the course of business partnerships. The individual must also display a genuine concern for customers, energy for his or her business and fondness for his or her company.

The Andre Award is a football signed by Central Insurance Companies’ executives and presented to the winner at the company’s annual Joe Vincent Dinner in Austin at the beginning of each year.

The 2005 award, signed by Andre himself, holds a strong significance for Central Insurance Companies, its recipient Pat Arthur and those in attendance at the dinner. This event was the last public appearance by Andre Juneau before he passed away on Feb. 14, 2006, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Juneau brought more than 24 years of experience to the insurance industry, most recently serving as senior vice president of Nieman Hanks Puryear, a division of Frost Insurance Agency Inc. He was also former president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.
