Kathie Stepp is Oklahoma’s new assistant insurance commissioner, the Associated Press reported.
Stepp previously served as director of the state insurance department’s Property and Casualty Division.
She will receive a pay raise as part of the promotion by state Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland. According to state statute, the insurance commissioner may appoint any number of assistant commissioners.
The 54-year-old Stepp has worked at the insurance department for more than 20 years.
