Reinsurance broker John B. Collins Associates Inc. announced that David Galleger has joined the Dallas office of Collins as a vice president. Galleger will ” help meet the rapidly growing business opportunities and client demands we’re experiencing in the southern United States,” Andy Justice, senior vice president and Dallas general manager, stated.
“Our clients include a variety of insurance companies across the South, and we have seen a doubling of our office’s revenues in the past 18 months,” Justice said. “David brings to our operation a strong background in servicing clients who underwrite property and casualty insurance.”
Galleger previously worked for eight years for another reinsurance intermediary, the Benfield Group, also in the Dallas area. His areas of specialization include commercial lines and underwriters of non-standard auto coverages. He will be responsible for new business and the servicing of existing accounts in several southern states.
Collins, established in 1987, is a privately-held company that places reinsurance coverages for companies in the property/casualty, life, and accident and health insurance markets. Headquartered in Minneapolis, it has 13 offices across the United States as well as in London and in Bermuda.
Earlier this year, to serve its growing client base in the southern United States, Collins added a new branch office in Tampa, Fla., which reports to the Dallas office.
