Dallas-based The Republic Group announced that Lisa R. Martin has joined the company as director, Personal Lines. Martin will be in charge of the underwriting functions for Republic’s Personal Lines and will have responsibility for both standard and non-standard underwriting segments.
Martin graduated from the University of Texas in 1991 with a BBA in Finance and International Business. Thereafter, she joined the Chubb Group, where she held a variety of underwriting and marketing positions. She began her career as a personal lines underwriter and later worked as a marketing representative. She was promoted to personal lines manager for the San Antonio and Dallas areas, and was again promoted to her most recent position, assistant manager for Chubb’s Underwriting Center managing the Southern and Western zones.

With her help, we expect to be able to attract and retain superior underwriters, improve upon existing underwriting processes and continue to build strong business relationships with our independent agents.”
