Dallas Risk Management Firm Now Has Two Presidents

Chris Hughes, with Swingle, Collins & Associates, is the new president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas (IIAD).

Swingle Collins reported that Hughes joins officer ranks with firm president, Frank Swingle, whose term as president-elect of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas began on Sept. 1, 2006.

The Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas was incorporated in 1930 and is dedicated to serving members in the areas of education, employment services and industry initiatives. It is one of the strongest local associations in the nation.

Hughes began his insurance career that same year with Great American Insurance Company and moved to Sentry Insurance Company in 1995 to pursue a career in the commercial insurance arena. After gaining a solid understanding of commercial risk management, he came to Swingle, Collins & Associates in 1997 – the largest property and casualty only agency in the Dallas area, which was started by Frank Swingle in 1982.

Hughes specializes in providing risk management services to a wide range of middle market industries and is known for his expertise, understanding and professionalism. He is a native of Temple, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1993

In addition to his current role as IIAD president, Hughes previously held the position of Secretary/Treasurer and has served on the Board of Directors. He is also an active member of the IIAT and has sat on many committees with their organization.
