Providence Property & Casualty Appoints New Officers

Providence Property & Casualty Insurance Company, which provides workers’ compensation insurance to Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), has appointed Stephen (Steve) A. Gober as vice president, Underwriting, and Nicolas (Nick) A. Arizaga as vice president and controller, the Frisco, Texas-based firm announced.

Gober joined Providence in July 2003 as director of Underwriting. In that position, he has helped the company develop a solid block of workers’ compensation business in the niche PEO environment. Gober previously was senior account executive with the Hartford’s National Accounts Division. Gober’s insurance experience includes over 23 years of underwriting.

In January 2005, Arizaga accepted the controller position at Providence. Throughout Arizaga’s over 20 year insurance accounting career, he has had a variety of senior level responsibilities including treasurer for TIG and chief financial officer for the Personal Lines Division of Hallmark Financial Services.

Providence Property & Casualty Insurance Company, along with its wholly owned subsidiary Imperial Casualty and Indemnity Company, are licensed in 41 states plus the District of Columbia. The carrier provides workers’ compensation coverage to over five thousand companies, with more than 42,000 workers. Domiciled in Oklahoma City, Okla., the executive and administrative Offices are located in Frisco.
