America First Expands Commercial Coverage in South Central States

September 13, 2007

America First Insurance, a member of Liberty Mutual Group, announced it is expanding its commercial lines offerings in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas to include commercial general contractors, restaurants and mono-line workers’ compensation.

All appointed agents in those states have access to these new classes of business effective September 2007.

Fred Schneider, vice president, Marketing, America First Insurance, said the new offerings follow the company’s recent expansion of its inland marine market.

In the commercial general contracting class, America First Insurance’s focus will be on contractors with annual gross receipts of under $25 million, concentrating on office buildings of less than five stories, retail strip centers, churches, schools and prefabricated buildings. Coverage will be provided through America First’s Standard Package Policy.

In the new restaurant class, America First seeks to write fine dining establishments located in Protection Classes 1-7, with ISO Construction Class 2 or higher. Agents will be introduced to the new Restaurant Property Extension Plus Endorsement, which features enhanced coverage for restaurant owners.

Agents can also now offer workers’ compensation insurance on a mono-line basis, subject to a $50,000 minimum premium, or continue to offer any size workers’ compensation policy as part of a package. Employers insured through America First Insurance have access to the Coventry Workers’ Compensation Network, a health care network certified by the state of Texas, which consists of select health care providers and facilities covering 97 percent of Texas workplaces.

In October, America First agents will also have access to The America First Package Series, a small commercial business line that consists of three products; The Custom Protector , The Commercial Protector, and The Comprehensive Business Policy (CBP).

America First Insurance is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and offers insurance products in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
