Burlington, N.C.-based TAPCO Underwriters Inc. (TAPCO) has introduced a specialty contractors program, offering monoline general liability coverages to agents in Texas, the company announced. TAPCO opened its Texas location in Houston on Aug. 1, 2007.
The program targets specialty contractors, artisans and general contractors, including remodelers and small custom homebuilders.
Program highlights include:
*Quotes are provided over the phone, usually taking less than five minutes, and e-mailed to the agent immediately.
*Coverage limits offered up to $1 million occurrence, $2 million aggregate.
*Minimum premiums begin at $600.
*Carriers are A-rated by A.M. Best.
*50 eligible classes.
TAPCO’s technology applications enable it to electronically generate, deliver and archive quotes, binders, policies and endorsements, allowing for coverage to be bound in minutes, the company said. TAPCO has binding authority for more than 1,000 classes of business, including all types of general liability; general, specialty, and artisan contractors; property; commercial packages; liquor liability; and vacant property and builder’s risk, among other lines.
Policies are usually issued in 24 hours or less through TAPCO’s automated delivery system.
