January 22, 2010

Austin, Texas-based Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA) announced six of its member agencies – Bigham-Kliewer-Chapman-Watts Insurance Agency, The Bridges Group Inc., Bryan Insurance Agency, Ed Berrong Insurance Agency, Pierson & Fendley Insurance Agency and Weatherby-Eisenrich Insurance Agency – have retained their status for 2009 as Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA) “Best Practices” agencies.

Additionally, Bigham- Kliewer-Chapman-Watts (Killeen, Texas) was awarded as the Best Practices Top Performer for the revenue category of between $2.5 and $5 million. Ed Berrong Insurance (Weatherford, Okla.) was ranked as number one in its revenue category of between $1.25 million to $2.5 million.

CAA said one-third of the Texas agencies chosen as Best Practices agencies are members of CAA. These agencies originally qualified in 2007 for this status by ranking among the 25-35 top-performing agencies in one of six revenue categories in the annual Best Practices Study conducted by IIABA and Reagan Consulting of Atlanta, Ga.

Each agency must qualify based on outstanding customer services, growth, stability and financial management. To retain the Best Practices Agency status for 2009, these CAA member agencies had to submit year-end results for review to re-qualify as one of the top performers in their revenue category.
