He is currently a director of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, board member of the IIAT Rio Grande Valley and advisory board member of the Better Business Bureau of South Texas. He is also secretary and board member of the Knapp Medical Foundation in Weslaco.
Montalvo Insurance Agency was founded in 1953 in La Villa, Texas, and moved to Weslaco in 1963.
