2 Louisiana Insurance Producers and Employee Served with Fine Notices

Two Slidell, La., producers were served with fine notices by Louisiana Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators on Nov. 19 for allegedly allowing and compensating an unlicensed employee to act as an insurance producer on behalf of their business. The employee was also issued a fine notice for conducting the business of insurance without a license.

Dennis Wayne McKinley Sr. and Yvette Suzanne McKinley were each served by Fraud Section Investigators with a $5,000 fine notice for allegedly allowing an unlicensed employee to conduct insurance business on their behalf with compensation. Peggy Pulling was served with a $10,000 fine notice for allegedly selling, soliciting and negotiating insurance transactions without a license.

Department records show that Dennis McKinley was issued a Property/Casualty license in January 1983 and a Life, Accident and Health license in May 1986, both of which are still valid. Records show that Yvette McKinley was issued a Property/ Casualty license in June 1986 which is still valid. She also held a Life, Accident and Health license from May 1992 through April 2006.

All parties have 30 days from time of service to request an administrative appeal. If they do not appeal, Dennis and Yvette McKinley have 30 days from the time of service to pay the fines or any active licenses they hold will be suspended until the fine is paid.
