Atlantic Specialty Lines Inc. (ASL) announced it has acquired Financial Guarantee Underwriters Inc. and American Tri-State Underwriters Inc.
Financial Guarantee Underwriters has been servicing the surplus insurance needs of the independent agents of Texas since 1989 while American Tri-State has been serving the surplus lines insurance needs of the independent agents in Louisiana and Arkansas since 1980.
The companies will now operate as Atlantic Specialty Lines of TX, LLC and continue under the direction of Donnie Mitchell as the profit center manager.
This acquisition will expand the ASL sales locations to five offices including the existing sales centers in Virginia, Florida, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
The sales and underwriting functions will be business as usual for agents with Donnie Mitchell, Karen Edwards and Leigh Anne Harvey continuing front line operations as they have for years. Meanwhile, the integration of back office functions will enhance sales, service, and product offerings at the profit center location.
