The board of Southwestern Insurance Information Service has elected Sandra Helin as president of the organization effective March 1. Helin will succeed Jerry Johns who will be retiring March 1, 2012.
A 13-year veteran of SIIS, Helin previously served as director of public affairs for the organization. She is also director of the Texas Action Council on Theft, a sister organization of SIIS.
She will be responsible for managing insurance industry communication initiatives in Texas and Oklahoma.
Southwestern Insurance Information Service is a 59-year-old, non-profit public information association of property and casualty insurance companies operating in Texas and Oklahoma.
