June 14, 2013

Higginbotham announced that Sawyer Insurance Agency has merged with its Dallas office.

Sawyer Insurance in Richardson, Texas, has been owned and operated by agent Mike Sawyer since 1975. He and two insurance professionals provide personal and commercial coverage to clients owning property in the U.S. and other countries. At Higginbotham, Sawyer will retain current clientele and focus his group’s practice on producing personal home, auto and liability accounts.

Higginbotham said the addition of the Sawyer Agency gives it added capacity for personal insurance services to high net worth individuals in the Metroplex.

Sawyer Insurance will adopt the Higginbotham name. On June 24, 2013 the agency will move from 1202 Richardson Drive to Higginbotham’s office at 12720 Hillcrest Road where it intersects Interstate Highway 635.

Higginbotham, established in 1948 and headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, provides businesses and individuals with a single source solution for comprehensive insurance, risk management and employee benefit services. The firm is expanding its operations by adding complementary independent brokerages to its group, which has grown to 19 offices and 539 employees across Texas. Higginbotham entered the Dallas market in 1999 by opening what was then its third branch office.
