Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies recently added John Brooks as a senior field representative for Arkansas, Louisiana and eastern Texas.
A graduate of Louisiana State University, Brooks has been part of the insurance industry in the South for almost 10 years and has extensive commercial lines experience that includes a focus on marketing and agency relations.
In his new capacity, Brooks is responsible for identifying new prospects for appointments while offering a wide range of services to existing agents – providing information about company resources and new developments, monitoring production, and serving as a field liaison with underwriting, loss control and claims staff.
Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies have an established track record as a specialist in writing small- to mid-sized accounts – offering workers’ compensation coverage, as well as complementary property and casualty lines in select jurisdictions.
In October 2013, Berkshire Hathaway GUARD was acquired by National Indemnity Co., a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
