CORRECTION: Insurance Journal would like to clarify its original reporting on this transaction to make clear that Johnson & Johnson acquired only the assets of Strickland General Agency of LA, Inc., and not the stock of that company; Johnson & Johnson did not acquire the stock or assets of Strickland General Agency, Inc.; and the company referenced in the original article as having been “established in 1995” was Strickland General Agency of LA, Inc. and not Strickland General Agency, Inc. (which was established in 1967 in Georgia).

Charleston, South Carolina-based Johnson & Johnson is acquiring the assets of Strickland General Agency of LA, Inc., located in Harahan, Louisiana.

Strickland General Agency of LA, Inc. was established in 1995 as a full service, multi-line E&S managing general agency serving independent retail agencies in Louisiana.

Founded in 1930, Johnson & Johnson is a full-service MGA that provides E&S markets, standard markets, and premium financing to independent insurance agents in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia. In addition, Johnson & Johnson offers private flood and certain program business nationwide.
