July 15, 2019

EC3 Brokers US has expanded with the appointments of James Norris as chief actuary and Terry Holley as senior vice president.

Norris and Holley are based in Dallas. They will report to Chris Hilton, president of EC3 Brokers US, and work closely with London-based chief executive officer Danny Driscoll.

Norris joined on July 1 from Lapis Resources where he was president. As a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) and a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Norris has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. He will assist clients with enhanced actuarial and analytical capabilities. Previously, Norris held positions including chief actuary at Greyhawk Insurance Company and Atlas General Insurance Services, and was vice president and actuary at Greenlight Re.

Holley joined on June 1 having spent the past year working as a consultant to develop a new start-up MGA. Throughout his career Holley has worked closely with MGAs and Captives to develop reinsured programs in several lines of business. He was previously a director at Wellington Insurance Group, where he developed insurance carrier relationships, and worked as vice president at ALPS Reinsurance Intermediaries, which was later bought by Willis Re.

Formed in 2013 by CEO Danny Driscoll, EC3 Brokers is a privately held independent commercial lines Lloyd’s broker, headquartered in London with subsidiaries in Dallas and Dubai’s DIFC.
