People Moves: Oklahoma’s OGA Adds 4; Patterson Honored by Texas Legislature

One General Agency (OGA) in Oklahoma City added four new team members.

Jennifer Konemann is the firm’s new workers’ compensation underwriter. She has more than 25 years of experience as a commercial lines account manager. Her years on the agency side give her great experience, and she is already very familiar with our markets.

Micah Macomber

Konemann stepped into the role created by the retirement of Cheryl Magrini.

Micah Macomber has been hired as commercial lines underwriter in Texas. Macomber has over 10 years of experience in rating and risk analysis of P&C, professional, garage, inland marine, and excess lines.

He started his career with Burns and Wilcox as an associate underwriter and has spent the last six years as the senior underwriter for an MGA in Texas.

Kelley Hulin is an associate broker. She is working in both the brokerage and oil and gas departments. She has a broad spectrum of experience in independent retail agencies, direct writer companies, insurance litigation, and surplus lines wholesalers.

Hulin previously served as an underwriter for Insurance House and Burns & Wilcox and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role.

Janie Williams joined the team a few months ago as an associate broker. She based in Hensley, Ark. Williams previously was a senior account executive with BXS Insurance.

Before that, she held various leadership roles at wholesale brokers and larger agencies in the Little Rock, Ark., area.

TSLA’s Patterson

Jean Patterson, executive director of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA), was honored in June by the Texas House of Representatives in recognition of her 40th anniversary with TSLA. Patterson was presented with a framed resolution that was unanimously approved by House members, filed by State Representative Gene Wu, and signed by Speaker of the House Dade Phelan and Representative Wu.
