People Moves: Dunlavy Now President at Greenhill Insurance; Reed Named VP at Midlands Management

Greenhill Insurance Services Appoints Dunlavy President

Houston-based Greenhill Insurance Services (Greenhill Insurance), a professional and general liability insurance provider specializing in social services and allied health care, appointed Chris Dunlavy president.

With nearly 15 years of insurance industry expertise, Dunlavy will work with the Greenhill Insurance executive suite to oversee all strategic direction and management of the growing company’s team. With a background in health care and professional liability underwriting, Dunlavy will seek to support and expand Greenhill Insurance’s four areas of expertise: proprietary specialty programs, risk management, claims services and financial services.

Prior to joining Greenhill Insurance, Dunlavy served as an underwriter at Beazley, a London-based specialty insurer. In this role, he managed a nationwide team of underwriters and was part of the U.S. miscellaneous medical and life sciences management team. There, he successfully built and maintained a large book of health care business both domestically and in the London market.

Dunlavy previously served as a senior underwriter at multi-line insurance carrier Hiscox and has experience working in MGAs and with wholesale brokers.

Greenhill Insurance Services LLC is a general underwriter and programming manager with binding authority to underwrite professional liability programs for a variety of industries.

Reed Named VP at Midlands Management

Midlands Management Corp. appointed Jennifer (Jennie) Reed, vice president, brokerage, based in the company’s Dallas office.

Reed will oversee the wholesale brokerage unit and will co-manage the specialty program business unit, which includes strategic involvement with administration, consulting and servicing operations.

Reed brings extensive brokerage expertise along with a valued skill set to her current roles and responsibilities. With 22 years of experience in the commercial lines brokerage industry, she offers extensive knowledge of both the retail and wholesale segments of the business. Prior to Midlands, she worked at top national wholesale brokerages where she became a leading expert in commercial brokerage, contract underwriting, sales and business development. She began her career as a commercial account manager for an independent retail insurance agency.
