IIAT Names 2023-24 Board Members

The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas elected board members for the 2023-24 year at its annual business meeting in San Antonio on June 23, 2023.

IIAT is the largest state association of independent insurance agents and professionals in the U.S. with more than 1,200 member agencies in 225 counties.

IIAT elected Josh Andrajack, area president of Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management, in Wichita Falls, to serve as chair.

Andrajack spent the first decade of his career as a commercial lender for a community bank in Wichita Falls after obtaining a finance degree from Midwestern State University. He then joined Boley-Featherston Insurance in 2008 and led their merger with Gallagher in the Spring of 2023. Andrajack’s focus areas include oil & gas and construction insurance, as well as the expansion of Gallagher’s energy programs across the nation.

Travis McDavid of GSM Insurors in Rockport was elected to serve as vice chair.

McDavid is the Vice President of GSM Insurors in Rockport. He joined his family’s agency after graduating from the University of Texas in 2000. McDavid served on IIAT’s Board of Directors from 2014 to 2018 and was the VP of IIAT’s Services Board from 2018 to 2023. He has chaired IIAT’s Windstorm Task Force since 2013 and has been a member of TWIA’s Advisory Board since 2016.

Tommy Dies of Bryan Insurance in Graham was elected as chair-elect.

Dies has been in the insurance industry for more than 20 years and a partner with Bryan Insurance Agency since 2015.

IIAT also recognized chief legislative officer Lee Loftis for political action contributions.

Loftis joined IIAT in 2006 as the director of government affairs. Prior to his tenure at IIAT, he served as an independent insurance agent for 28 years.
