The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) Board of Directors will meet next week to consider the association’s 2024 budget.
The meeting, which will be held at the Corpus Christi Omni Hotel on Dec. 12 at 9:00 a.m., will also include a presentation of updates and possible action on a study of insurance agent commissions, which was previously requested by the Board.
Additionally, a TWIA staff update will focus on changes in building costs impacting the association’s automatic adjusted building cost endorsement, which will result in coverage and premium increases for most policy renewals next year.
There will also be annual performance evaluation of the general manager in closed session.
Members of the public can participate by submitting written comments, through virtual verbal public comment via Zoom, or in-person verbal public comment at the Omni Hotel.
