Bloodworth Added to ProAssurance Board

ProAssurance Corporation of Birmingham, Ala. announced that Lucian F. Bloodworth has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors.

ProAssurance chairman A. Derrill Crowe said that Bloodworth’s unique perspective and wealth of insurance industry experience will be an asset to the company. “We are confident the addition of Mr. Bloodworth to the Board will be a great benefit to ProAssurance. His background and experience in insurance and finance will be a valuable resource for the Company,” Crowe said.

Bloodworth is the president of Cain Manufacturing Co. Inc., and the chairman of Jay Electric Co. Inc., and is on the Board of Directors of those two Birmingham, Ala.-based companies. Prior to assuming the presidency of Cain Manufacturing he served as executive VP of The National Bank of Commerce in Birmingham, and he remains on that bank’s Board of Directors.

Before joining National Bank of Commerce Mr. Bloodworth worked in the insurance field for almost two decades. He was the president of American Foundation Life, a senior VP and cctuary at Protective Life Corporation, vice president and actuary at H. W. Black & Associates, and assistant actuary at Liberty National Life Insurance Company.
