Three experienced employee benefits executives announced the formation of a new national firm, Nashville-based Benefit Partners of America LLC, which will specialize in providing a balanced program of employer- and employee-paid insurance products including executive benefits.

J. Harold Chandler, previously chairman, president and CEO of UnumProvident Corporation, will serve as chairman and CEO of the new company. In his role, he will be concentrating on both internal and external growth strategies.

K. Bradford Wier, who will serve as chief marketing officer of the new firm, formerly led the Voluntary Workplace Benefits National Practice at UnumProvident Corporation, where he worked directly with the country’s leading benefits brokers, consultants and enrollment organizations. Drawing on his 20 years of experience, he will lead Benefit Partners in maximizing the effectiveness of complementary employer benefit plans through the use of supplemental insurance products.

Gregory L. Voges, current owner of Turner P. Williams & Associates LLC, will be president of the new company.
