Florida-based HBA Insurance Group (www.hbains.com) announced the creation of a new insurance agency to serve South Florida’s trucking industry.
Truck Owners Insurance Alliance LLC recently began operating
from offices at the South Florida trucking industry’s only “one-stop-center,” located in Miami’s Airport West area. Offering a full line of services including trucker liability and cargo coverage, Truck Owners Insurance serves fleet and non-fleet vehicles, local and long-haul trucks and owner/operators.
From offices at 5800 N.W. 74th Avenue (the former Farm Stores
distribution center), Truck Owners Insurance is one of many service
providers at the new multi-purpose truck stop. Traditional services are augmented by providers of permits, tags, fuel tax reports and other services for meeting OSHA and Department of Transportation requirements.
“The insurance needs of South Florida’s trucking industry have been
underserved for many years,” said Ernesto “Tito” Freyre, chairman of HBA Insurance Group. “Along with our partners on-site, we have created a ‘one-stop-center’ that meets the many needs of truckers – access to affordable insurance being a major one.”
Other providers at the site include the Simplex Group, offering
assistance to meet government filing requirements.
“Sales at the new location have already exceeded our initial
expectations,” said Freyre.
HBA is the second largest privately held independent insurance company in Miami-Dade. Specialty areas include: aviation, commercial risk, construction surety, life and other benefits, personal risk, and human capital management.
