Fla. Association of Insurance Agents Chooses ACE USA as Exclusive Provider of International P/C Insurance

April 7, 2004

ACE US International, a division of ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operations of The ACE Group of Companies, announced that it has been selected as the exclusive provider of global programs and specialty insurance coverage to the more than 1,200 members of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) throughout the U.S. As part of this business relationship, members of the FAIA now have direct online access through a specially-designed Web site to the ACE USA International Advantage suite of products and services.

The International Advantage suite of general liability, property and specialty products and services is uniquely designed for U.S.-based businesses with assets, fiscal and human resources outside the U.S. and includes the following: International Property Coverage offering broad protection for all sizes of property exposures; International Medical Insurance Benefits and AD&D Coverage, which offers true 24-hour protection for employee business travelers and their dependents; and, Executive Assistance Services, which provides a package of emergency medical, personal, travel and security assistance services.

These specialty products combine with the core elements: general liability, employers responsibility and ocean cargo to help minimize the coverage gaps for U.S.-based companies doing business overseas.

“We are pleased to join with the Florida Association of Insurance Agents in offering global insurance programs targeted to the mid-sized employer market through the FAIA Member Services program,” said Andrew MacKinnon, senior vice president, ACE US International. “This partnership allows us to combine ACE USA’s unique product and underwriting expertise and unparalleled global service with the high standard of commitment of the FAIA to deliver value and added benefits for its membership base.”

“This program will provide our membership with the opportunity to review their international property and casualty needs through our business relationships with ACE US International – an organization that is dedicated to providing high quality service and delivering value to its targeted insured,” said FAIA Member Services Inc. Managing Director Jay Williams.

Created nearly a century ago in 1904 as the Florida Local Underwriters Association, the Florida Association of Insurance Agents adopted its current name in 1941. Dedicated to enhancing the independent agency system through education, legislation, communication and FAIA Member Services, FAIA is a nonprofit state trade association of insurance agencies affiliated with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America and 22 local boards throughout Florida.
